Desiilaaz with shredded kikar (Babul)
It is the disease in
which the blood glucose is not utilized due to improper functioning of
pancreatic insulin leading to excretion of glucose in urine. Its symptoms are
excessive eating, excessive urine, excessive thirst, skin changes, visual
disturbances, lowered immunity, loss of weight and lethargy. Alcohol, sedentary
lifestyle, liver and thyroid disease, head injury or injury to nervous system,
and inherited traits are the contributing factors of the disease. There may be
transient diabetes during pregnancy which becomes normal after childbirth.
1st
Boil 2 tbspf of shredded
kikar (Babul) bark in 2 cups of water and keep it for 12 hrs in a covered
container. Filter and take 3-4 tbsp twice a day.
2nd
Keep 1tspf of crushed
jamun seeds in 1 cup of water for 8 hrs. Filter and take 1 tbspf thrice a day.
3rd
Boil 1 tspf of crushed
binola (Cotton Seed) seeds in 3 cups of water till the volume is reduced to 1
cup (30 min) in a covered container. Filter and take 1 cup twice a day. (Contraindicated in pregnancy)
4th
Boil 1-2 tspf of shredded
kukraundha (Dandelion) roots in 1 cup of water for 2-3 min. Remove from heat an
let it stand for 15 min in a covered container. Filter and take 1 cup in
morning and evening for a month.
5th
Keep 1 tspf crushed seeds
of methi (Fenugreek) in 1 cup of water overnight (8-10 hrs) in a covered
container. Filter and take 1 cup a day.
6th
Grind 8-10 chopped leaves
of aam (Mango) in 1 cup of water. Filter and take 1 cup a day for 20-25 days.
7th
To 2 g of chopped kaiphala
(Bayberry) bark, 2 g of chopped harad (Chebulic Myrobalan) bark, 2 g of finely
powdered lodh tree bark and 2 g of nagarmotha (Nut Grass) ground tubercles add
1 cup of boiling water, cover and let it stand for 15 min. Filter and take 1
cup twice a day.
