Desiilaaz with harad/halaila (Chebulic Myrobalan)
It is the
redness of eye due to inflammation of conjunctiva of the eye. It is caused by
smoke, dust, cosmetics, allergy, infection (viral or bacterial), in welding
operations. Symptoms are itching, discharge in the corners of the eye which
should be wiped out with warm water.
1st
Boil 1 tbspf
of dried crushed dudhi (Eyebright) in 1 cup of water for 2 min. Remove the
container from heat and cover. Let it cool for 5-10 min. Filter and take 1 cup
thrice a day.
2nd
Boil in 1 ¾
cup of water 4 g of harad/halaila (Chebulic Myrobalan), 6 g Gorakmundi (East
Indian Globe thistle) and 5 unnab/ber (jujube) in a covered vessel for 15 min.
Remove from heat and let cool to room temperature. Filter and take 1 cup twice
a day with sugar or honey.
